OUR HOLIDAY SPECIALS

Holiday Tarts 6" serves 4-6
We offer Pumpkin, Pecan, Apple, Cherry and Frangipane tarts for pickup in store or for pre-order. Our Swiss specialty is the St. Moritz Tart. Toasted walnuts, creamy honey caramel, buttery cookie crust. A specialty of the canton of Graubünden and the Engadin valley, where the famous Alpine resort, St. Moritz, is located.
 
German Stollen with Marzipan
A German yeast bread dense with candied citrus peel, raisins, almonds, spices, and a marzipan filling. Dipped in butter, hot from the oven, and rolled in sugar.
 
Birenweggen (“Bear-n-vauge-en”)
Rich and buttery pear and walnut sweet bread that is filled with a blend of pear, fig, plum and raisins, macerated in red wine, Kirsch and Pear William Schnapps. In short: “Grown-up fig newton”
 
Biberfladen & Biber Cookies
Biberfladen is a soft, moist gingerbread with marzipan filling baked in an 8” round. Biber cookies are gingerbread with marzipan filling and holiday picture printed on top.



 

Decorated Gingerbread Houses & Kits 
We offer fully decorated houses and house kits using royal icing and a variety of holiday candies.

Swiss Christmas Cookies 
We make Traditonal Swiss Cookies such as Appenzellerli, Basler Läckerli, Black & White, Biberli, Brunsli, Chräbeli, Linzer, Mailanderli, Schwabenbrotli, Spitzbuben, Springerli, Totenbeinli, Vanilla Kipferli and Zimtsterne.
 
Grittibenz
Our soft, buttery Zopf dough, shaped into a Santa figure with raisin eyes and pearl sugar on his hat. To celebrate Saint Nicholas Day on December 6th.
 
Yule Log
Traditional Holiday rolled cake decorated with sugar poinsettias, meringue mushrooms, marzipan decor, and holiday greeting. Comes in Amaretto Raspberry, Swiss Mocca, or Double Dark.
 
Panettone
 A light Italian yeast bread with raisins and candied citrus peel.
 
New Year Good Luck Pig’s Bread (Available after Christmas)
The Swiss Bakery’s Zopf bread made in the shape of a pig with raisins for eyes. On the back of the pig will be the numbers for the upcoming year.
 
Three Kings Bread (Available after New Years)
A Swiss traditional holiday sweet bread with almonds, pearl sugar and raisins. 
This bread is served on January 6 ("Dreikönigstag" [Three Kings Day], Epiphanies day) for breakfast and includes a small plastic king or queen token. THIS IS NOT THE MARDI GRAS CAKE!
